Stephanie had spent years watching clients with curls walk into salons hoping for help, only to leave disappointed. As a young hairdresser with curls of her own, she recognised early on how few professionals truly understood the unique nature of curly and wavy hair. That realisation shaped her entire career.
After decades in hairdressing—39 years in total—she devoted the last 16 exclusively to Natural Curly and Wavy Hair.
In 2010, she made a bold decision: to work only with curly-haired clients. From that moment, every person who entered her chair carried a different curl pattern, texture, and story, and she committed herself to learning from all of them.
Her pursuit of excellence became the foundation of Curly Hair London, a premier salon built around organic, natural, and chemical-free care.
She refined her craft through a Masters Diploma, Masters Craftsman Diploma, and State Registered Senior Hairdresser status, later creating her own cutting techniques tailored to every curl type. Her training continued with certifications from Curly Hair Artistry under Scott Musgrave, Lorraine Massey, Nubia Rëzo, and Deva, along with a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
Clients often arrived with curls that had lost their life—flat, frizzy, or without shape. Stephanie’s joy came from restoring that shape through custom dry curl cuts, followed by gentle cleansing, moisture, and styling. Every appointment began with a detailed consultation, ensuring the cut, colour, and treatment honoured the client’s natural pattern and past experiences.
She encouraged sulfate-free and silicone-free routines, teaching clients how to care for their hair long after they left the salon. Over the years, she witnessed countless transformations, each one reaffirming her belief: curly hair is beautiful, and with the right cut and tailored care, anyone with natural curls or waves can wear them confidently and stress-free.
